Only thing I have comparable is my ex t-boning a deer w/ my ‘88 Camry 5M wagon. Bought it back, fixed it, and drove the crap out of it.
But that’s a Saab. Or was. FYL ... and on Christmas!
Final gen 9/5, perhaps?

Yeah, I’m fine. Just pissed. We legit got rid of full coverage a month ago. Hopefully their homeowners will cover it

Looks like a Pontiac Grand Prix.

Holy shit! I’m glad you’re okay but damn that sucks.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:07 |

Yikes! How?
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:10 |

Right you are.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:10 |

Grand Prix actually. But close enough.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:10 |

Well shit, that blows. How bad does the damage look?
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:15 |

well that one millions percent sucks! no ones car should be violated.
new windshield, hood, and some dent removal maybe? heres hoping the damage isnt too bad.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:19 |

Wow, that is some bad luck. At least the damage looks like it’s mostly just on the hood. Can’t tell if the windshield as smashed too, but it appears fine.
I’d be willing to bet there are many Grand Prixs with undamaged hoods in a Detroit pick-and-pull yard, though. Probably cost you less than $100 to fix.

Windshield is very much broke. Sounds like we’re gonna try and get out neighbors homeowners insurance to fix it.
Then I would be able to get a new bumper out of it as well.

I don’t want to alarm you, but I think a branch fell on your car.
Seriously though, I’m really glad you’re ok. Also it sort of looks like there might not be too much damage, but it’s hard to tell because there’s a huge tree blocking my view.

Dayum! That’s heartbreaking.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 16:38 |

Ouch. I’m sorry man, that sucks.

It may be a little bit of a fight, because insurance, but it’s my understanding that if a neighbors tree damages your property, their insurance pays. That’s how it went when a friend’s neighbors tree damaged their house

I look at the massive old pines beside my driveway every time it gets windy and worry about this happening. There were a couple storms I ran the Jeep out to a huge open parking lot not far away just to be safe. My roommate’s car narrowly missed the top coming off an aspen and then an old sick elm dropped a 16"-diameter branch about two feet away from her Fit a week later before she found somewhere better to park.
I hope everything goes well for you with the repairs. This is a shitty time for it too cause nothing’s open.

Sucks man. At least it wasn’t your fault
![]() 12/26/2016 at 17:37 |

Aah. But who’s tree is that?
![]() 12/26/2016 at 17:48 |

that sucks.
![]() 12/26/2016 at 18:59 |
|
Wtf!!!!!
![]() 12/26/2016 at 19:02 |

At least it was the car and not the house. We had a near-miss with a 50ft pine tree. It took out the fence and the garden, but spared my kids’ room by about six inches.
I’m glad to see nobody was hurt. Oh, and file against their homeowner’s insurance. That’s what it’s there for.

Someone summoned Kjata on Dwhites car!
Well I hope the insurance can help pretty quickly.

Oh duh ... I think GM used those wheels on some Saabs, in my defense ...
![]() 12/27/2016 at 10:07 |
|
They used those 5 spoke wheels on everything haha
![]() 12/27/2016 at 10:08 |
|
So it’s certainly totaled ...
![]() 12/27/2016 at 10:10 |
|
Yeah. Probably. I’m just hoping the payout is more than $3500. Not too many decent options out there at that price.
![]() 12/27/2016 at 10:14 |

Buy the wheels back and put them on the Saab 6M you buy.

Take that back. I got my Lexus for $2500.
